FDIC institution directory
Is this a real, FDIC-insured bank?
Before you wire money, open an account, or trust an unfamiliar "bank," check it against the FDIC's own institution directory. The useful signal most directories bury: whether the institution is still active. A closed bank's name still in use is a known impersonation tactic.

What this is — and is not
A mirror of the public FDIC BankFind institution directory, with the active/insured status surfaced. It confirms whether an institution is a current FDIC-insured bank — it is not a safety rating, a recommendation, or financial advice. Always confirm at FDIC BankFind before acting.
